I graduated summa cum laude from Semmelweis University Medical school, and later became board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. After having spent a year at England’s Killingback Hospital in Leeds, mentored by Dr. Olive Scott, I returned to Hungary to introduce new methods of cardiac ultrasonography.
My main field of interest is fetal cardiac ultrasound. I acquired the technical skill in London at Guys Hospital from the internationally acclaimed Dr. Lindsey Allen, who trail-blazed this revolutionary new diagnostic method. The subject of my Ph.D. thesis was diagnostic echocardiography of the child.
I am married to Professor István Hartyánszky, who is a cardiac surgeon, and my son, István Jr., is also a cardiac surgeon. I enjoy gardening in my free time.
