I completed my general medical studies at the University of Pécs Medical School in 1998, before gaining specializations in internal medicine, nephrology, diebetology and transplants. In 2002, I completed a Ph.D. from the University of Pécs Medical School, before gaining teaching experience at Semmelweis University in 2004.
Starting in 1994, I spent several years working at the 2nd Clinic of Internal Medicine of the University of Pécs Medical School as a clinical physician, university assistant professor, university professor and then as a department assistant professor. In 2009, I became a university assistant professor at the Semmelweis University Transplant and Surgery Clinic, a full professor in 2012, and from 2014 until the present day a university head of department. I studied abroad from 1998 to 2001 at the University of West Virginia, and from 2008 to 2009 at the University of West Florida. I have won numerous scientific awards and am the member of various professional associations. In addition to Hungarian, I also speak English and German at an advanced level.
