Endodontics, microscopic root canal treatment

Endodontics is a very dynamic branch of dentistry that deals with diseases of the periodontium and the treatment of teeth that have failed root canal therapy. It allows us to prevent lesions around the root apex and to treat those that have already developed. The procedure is called root canal treatment and the specialist who does it is called an endodontist.

This very complex and complicated procedure is taken to a new dimension with the use of a microscope, as treatment at multiple magnifications gives a much higher success rate by removing all the tissue fragments that are causing the inflammation. In addition, it is extremely effective in finding the numerous ducts that are invisible to the naked eye. This means that even if you still have complaints after conventional root canal treatment, which clearly indicates that the source of the pain has not been found and removed perfectly, it is still worth trying the microscopic procedure.

Saving your own tooth is always a priority, unless you are dealing with a tooth with a hopeless prognosis.
