Varicose vein treatments:
Injection treatment (sclerotherapy): Can be used as a permanent solution for varicose dilatation. During this injection therapy, a medication is injected into the vein that causes the inner layer to shed. This causes the walls of the vein to adhere to each other and form scar tissue. This treatment is quick, simple, can be performed on an outpatient basis, and has visible results. The procedure is mainly suitable for dilatations with a smaller diameter (spider veins, networks of varicose veins).
Foam injection treatment: We can also treat especially large varicose veins using an injection method by creating foam from the medication prior to injecting it. Foaming significantly increases the effect of the medication and can be used to treat varicose vein trunks and significantly dilatated side branches as well as inlet sections. The advantage of injection procedures is that there is no cutting or surgical incision, so there is no scarring left on the legs.
Varicose vein surgery: During surgical treatment of varicose veins, we remove the veins using scarcely detectable punctures.
