About me

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Semmelweis University in 2010. I began my training in pediatric surgery at Heim Pál Children’s Hospital, where in addition to general pediatric surgery I primarily focused on pediatric traumatology. I completed my specialist training at the Department of Surgery of the II. Department of Pediatrics at Semmelweis University (now Department of Pediatrics, Tűzoltó Street campus), where I have been working ever since. In line with the department’s profile, I have deepened my expertise in pediatric tumor surgery and endocrine surgery, while of course also practicing general pediatric surgery and taking part in surgical on-call duties. I regularly attend international conferences, where in addition to expanding my knowledge, I also present our national results.

During consultations, I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere and build a partnership with my young patients, striving to communicate in a way that actively involves them in the visit. To help parents better understand, I often use simple drawings to explain the causes and development of illnesses, as well as possible surgical solutions.

I have a team-oriented mindset. Whether in the clinic, the operating room, or other situations in life, everyone has their own role, and we can only be successful if each person performs their part well. The anesthesiologist, assistant, scrub nurse, operating room staff, and ward nurse are just as important participants in a surgery as the young patient, the parent, or even the operating surgeon.

I have a family and am the father of three children. In our free time, we enjoy discovering new places and spending time in nature, whether hiking, cycling, or skiing.
