When should you request an RMC Online Vacation Advice online consultation?

• If you're not sure how serious your symptoms are, or if you can put off an in-person medical examination until the end of your holiday (e.g. you forgot to take some important medicine, you have a urinary infection, or you have noticed some worrying symptoms during pregnancy).
• If you would like some reassurance before going on vacation that you have all the vaccinations you need (checking your vaccination booklet).
• If you are able to show your symptoms to the doctor by video or phone (e.g. a rash, skin surface damage – for the latter, our doctors can provide guidelines for caring for the wound).
• If you are able to briefly summarize the symptoms (and it's not necessary for the doctor to look through your past medical history).
• If you are able to speak to the doctor for 15 minutes in a quiet and well-lit (if you are speaking via video) location.

When do we recommend that you visit us for a longer or physical examination?
